Just heard on "The Five" that the Dems are changing the assigned status to "low income" for such RICH places as Martha's Vineyard, Montauk on Long Island, and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware where Biden keeps his Corvette (among other things). The reason? Those folks in those elite neighborhoods need a tax break for new electric cars due to the "low income areas" they live in.

Also Judge Jeannine chimed in how the Biden adminisration hasn't built ONE electric-car charging station - as she pointed out, the Dems can't cut it, even when pushing their own DUMB ideas - she said the Dems were "really on their game". IN SPADES!. And of course, the corrupt legacy media will never mention ANY of this.

Apparently, by law in that state, a tampon (or equivalent) machine must be installed in at least one boys' bathroom in every school. Lunacy!

When I heard that story, it occurred to me that a good prank would be to surreptitiously put a tampon machine in a rival school's football locker room. It would be a way to mock the rival players, effectively suggesting, "You guys are a bunch of pu**ies."

Of course, ahem, both of the asterisks above represent the letter P.

You are correct when you say that the illegals are funded mainly with OUR MONEY. I was reading a report from The Heritage Foundation, a very reputable organization. If this information was circulated as it should be, there would be a ton of furious citizens demonstrating in the streets, I suspect. It appears that a lot of the funding for the VISA-type cards handed out to most of the illegals comes from the UN, which is funded primarily from the United States taxpayers' money. NGOs around the world fund illegals handily & often. Catholic Charities seems to be the charity giving the bulk of the money to illegals. So if you are donating to Catholic Charities, you are giving money to faciltate illegal traveling. Also, if you give to Doctors Without Borders, you are allowing illegals to get their hands on a lot of donated, charitable money. Another big funder of illegals is George Soros' Open Society Foundation. IOM is another facilitator for illegals to get monetary handouts, and glossy printed maps for travel routes, color coded in many different languages. The International Red Cross donates large quantities as well.

Why are these organizations giving billions to illegals, you ask?

Well, these organizations buy into the notion that THE WEST is too wealthy and too racist much of the time, and they have decided to help Joe Biden make big changes in the way our country operates. George Soros wants to completely destroy our sovereignty, since he doesn't like borders or nation states.

Basically,what we have going down is a resettlement program. All of these mentioned 'players' desire open borders, even the internationalist NGOs want to put in place, this socialist/Marxist ideology. Global elitists from the WEF desire it too. And Pope Francis appears to grasp much of the ideology with favor.

The idea is to "bring the US down a few notches," as B. Obama once stated. The progressive leftists who band together, Bill and Hillary Clinton included, are followers of Saul Alinsky's theories; people who who dislike America as it is currently. They wish to rearrange the governing philosophy and have all citizens be as equal in every way as possible. They dislike some folks having abundant prosperity, near areas of disadvantaged neighbors, so they want to force redistribution of wealth. Doing so will ease the guilt they FEEL. Their feelings nag at their heart strings causing them to become angry toward those with prosperity, even while they, themselves have prosperity in their own lives. Ironic to be sure.

This group is the radical international leftists implementing immigration and demographic changes to our nation for political benefit for themselves, and their belief system, the rest of us be damned, I guess. It puts people on government dependency in most cases, massively changing the population, for controlling purposes. It waters down community and civic traditions and cohesion. It unsettles the country to build-up class warfare, and there's no better way to do that than rapidly changing the demographics of a country with classes of people dependent on the government.

And even the evil cartels have gotten in on the scheme, making billions of dollars for themselves along the way.

Where did I get this information? NOT from ANY of the legacy media, as they are in on the redesigning too! It's a 'hush-hush' plan that is not to be discussed widely, don't you see.....

The article I read was from The Heritage Foundation and written by Michelle Cordero, in December 2022. Her information was gathered for The Heritage's Oversight Project.

Jesse Watters talked about some of this info on his TV evening program on Jan. 30, 2024. Also, Glenn Beck covers this same, basic info on one of his YouTube Specials, produced very recently.

We watch Groundhog Day on most February 2s (including last night), and The Longest Day on most June 6s. We went to an actual movie theater a few days ago to see The Boys in the Boat. Martha had read the book and insisted on seeing the movie. I recommend it. It is a true, feel-good story that you can take your grandchildren to if, unlike the Cordells, you actually have grandchildren.

Every so often there is a piece of legislation on Capitol Hill that defines America and its values — that shows what kind of country we want to be. I would argue that when it comes to the $118.3 billion bipartisan compromise bill in the Senate to repair our broken immigration system and supply vital aid to Ukraine, Taiwan and Israel, its passage or failure won’t define just America but also the world that we’re going to inhabit.

There are hinges in history, and this is one of them. What Washington does — or does not do — this year to support its allies and secure our border will say so much about our approach to security and stability in this new post-post-Cold War era. Will America carry the red, white and blue flag into the future or just a white flag? Given the pessimistic talk coming out of the Capitol, it is looking more and more like the white flag, autographed by Donald Trump.

Barring some last-minute surprise that saves the compromise bill, a terrible thing is about to happen, thanks largely to a Republican Party that has lost its way as it falls in lock step behind a man whose philosophy is not “America First” but “Donald Trump First.” “Trump First” means that a bill that would strengthen America and its allies must be set aside so that America can continue to boil in polarization, Vladimir Putin can triumph in Ukraine and our southern border can remain an open sore — until and unless Trump becomes president once more. Our allies be damned. Our enemies be emboldened. Our children’s future security be mortgaged.

Today’s G.O.P. bumper sticker: Trump First. Putin Second. America Third.

“The United States has for some time ceased to be a serious country. Our extreme polarization combined with institutional rules that privilege minorities makes it impossible for us to meet our international obligations,” the political theorist Francis Fukuyama remarked on the American Purpose website. “The Republican Party has grown very adept at hostage holding. … The hard-core MAGA wing represents a minority within a minority, yet our institutional rules permit them to veto decisions clearly favored by a majority of Americans.”

Alas, though, while the current dysfunction of the Republican Party can explain why this particular legislation is likely to fail, how we came to this awful moment is a longer, deeper story.

This emerging post-post-Cold War era is a real throwback to the kind of dangerous, traditional great-power competition prevalent in the Cold War and World War II and most of history before that. Unfortunately, we have arrived at this moment with too many elected officials — especially in the senior ranks of the Republican Party — who never experienced such a world and with a defense-industrial base woefully unprepared for this world. Believe it or not, President Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, has had to spend hours of valuable time each month searching the world for 155-millimeter shells for the Ukrainian Army because we don’t have enough.

That’s crazy. And it is particularly crazy at a time when three revisionist powers (Russia, China and Iran) are each simultaneously probing every day to see if they can push back America and its allies along three different frontiers (Europe, the South China Sea and the Middle East). They probe, individually and through proxies, to see how we react — if we react — and then probe some more. In Putin’s case, when the time seemed right, he launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“Because of generational change, most of America’s political elite today grew up in the relatively benign Pax Americana post-Cold War era, 1989 to 2022” (when Putin invaded Ukraine), “and they have lost the habit and the knack of thinking about global politics in military terms,” the U.S. foreign policy historian Michael Mandelbaum told me. “Very few members of the elite today have served in the military.”

This is “very different from the Cold War era, when most of our policymaking elite were people who experienced World War II,” added Mandelbaum, the author of the forthcoming book “The Titans of the Twentieth Century: How They Made History and the History They Made.” “Now, after 30 years of the post-Cold War era, Joe Biden is one of the few remaining leaders who was a policymaker during the Cold War — and issues of grand strategy and the management of great-power competition are no longer a major part of our public discourse.”

Trump, like Biden, grew up in the Cold War, but he spent a lot of it contemplating his wealth rather than contemplating the world. Trump’s instincts, Mandelbaum noted, are really a throwback to the interwar period between World War I and World War II, when a whole segment of the elite felt World War I was a failure and a mistake — the equivalent today of Iraq and Afghanistan — and then approached the dawn of World War II as isolationists and protectionists, seeing our allies as either hopeless or leeches.

As for House Speaker Mike Johnson, I wonder how often he uses his passport. I wonder if he has a passport. He is one of the most powerful people in America, following in the footsteps of both Republican and Democratic speakers who advanced our interests and made us strong in the world for decades. So far, he seems to care only about serving Trump’s interests, even if that means playing extremely risky games with foreign policy.

Meanwhile, many on the left emerged from this post-Cold War era with the view that the biggest problem in the world is not too little American power but too much — the lessons they drew from Iraq and Afghanistan.

And so who will tell the people? Who will tell the people that America is the tent pole that holds up the world? If we let that pole disintegrate, your kids won’t grow up in just a different America; they’ll grow up in a different world, and a much worse one.

After Ukraine inflicted a terrible defeat on the Russian Army — thanks to U.S. and NATO funding and weapons — without costing a single American soldier’s life, Putin now has to be licking his chops at the thought that we will walk away from Ukraine, leaving him surely counting the days until Kyiv’s missile stocks run out and he will own the skies. Then it’s bombs away.

As the Financial Times columnist Gideon Rachman reported, the ammunition shortage in Ukraine “has already led to an increase in Ukrainian casualties. … The shortage of weaponry is also having an effect on the willingness of Ukrainians to volunteer for military service. The mounting pressure on the Kyiv government is part of the explanation for the public falling-out between President Volodymyr Zelensky and his commander in chief, Valeriy Zaluzhny.”

If this is the future and our friends from Europe to the Middle East to Asia sense that we are going into hibernation, they will all start to cut deals — European allies with Putin, Arab allies with Iran, Asian allies with China. We won’t feel the change overnight, but, unless we pass this bill or something close to it, we will feel it over time.

America’s ability to assemble alliances against the probes of Russia, China and Iran will gradually be diminished. Our ability to sustain sanctions on pariah nations like North Korea will erode. The rules governing trade, banking and the sanctity of borders being violated by force — rules that America set, enforced and benefited from since World War II — will increasingly be set by others and by their interests.

Yes, America still has considerable power, but that power led to influence because allies and enemies knew we were ready to use it to defend ourselves and help our friends defend themselves and our shared values. All of that will now be in doubt if this bill goes down for good.

Remember this week, folks — because historians surely will.

I didn't know you at all at RHS and the same applies today. Obviously I hit a nerve with you.

I was a history major. The United States has rarely been united except in cases of war; I don't see that changing; on the contrary................. Usually anything labeled "United" is anything but; witness the United Kingdom, United Nations, us the US, ?perhaps? United Arab Emirates. Also when they label themselves "People's Republic of......", that's NEVER a governance that cares a whit about its people; witness our mortal enemies Red China and Iran.

But aside from my total disgust with the Dems and total amazement about how the left can't see the way they're being played with outright lies and at least spin - no truth or facts really anymore from the corrupt legacy media - anyway, aside from those 2 things, and this is for Lowell, Sandra, Jan, you, etc., where am I wrong? Give me some facts showing where I'm wrong. You can't. Even if you all never change your voting patterns, you all STILL need to wise up about absolute macroeconomic, geopolitical and history truths, which you'll NEVER get NOW from the media you likely listen to.

In conclusion, I'm not going to let up on the Democrat Party. They richly deserve every iota of scorn I can heap on them. I deeply resent being played by them way back then when I voted Dem (and look at Nixon's domestic record on Wikipedia - just a bunch of neoMarxist/"Progressive" garbage), and they have only gotten far worse today.

But, Gil, I do appreciate your closing remarks about how we should be united. Good for you. I actually agree, but until you's (New York influence) start paying attention to the truth from my side, I don't see that happening. Also the few times I've heard conversation from other Eagles where your name comes up, I believe that we can agree on one other thing - weed should NEVER have been illegal, but that was BAD government back well before we were born.

So all the biases I listed in the first paragraph are ALL emanating from Obama. If you accept that premise, then all the harm & damage Joe & Co. are subjecting us to make total sense. Notice the word "subjecting" - we're rapidly losing our citizenship - duh, the illegals, their Joe gratitude & the Dems' reprioritization for them over us are ample evidence of that. Concerning this new bill that Speaker Mike Johnson is saying is DOA (thank God), Jesse Waters & his team looked at the entire bill in detail, all 370 pages. I should have written down all I heard. But I think I heard that 1/3 of the bill is going to lawyers for the illegal aliens, who deserve and should get 0. Also, despite the fact-checkers I saw headlines from on-line today (the first one I saw was the New York Times so I ignored that one) likely all deserve to be fact-checked, as usual. Anyway those faux fact-checkers were trying to posit that oh, no, there won't be 5000 illegals allowed in EVERY day by the bill - BALONEY, it will, so we're talking that there are NO BORDER CATASTROPHE FIXES in this bill. The money they want for more border patrol activity is just so they can PROCESS THE ALIENS FASTER in their master Marxist plan. According to FNC, they've been cooking this up for months and then things will just continue as they are today. Finally, apparently the only reason also-in-mental-decline Mitch McConnell wants the bill passed, is to get money to Ukraine and Israel. If the Dems were intellectually and morally honest, they would work with the Republicans to do an entirely separate bill on just that - gee, I wonder what the chances of that happening are?

Also former Dem congressman from Tennessee, Harold Ford Jr.'s spin on FNC that the border patrol wants the bill passed, is not true. FNC reported that PART of the bill would be OK to the border patrol at large and desirable but most of it? NOT ONLY NO BUT #$$!#$#$! NO!

In conclusion, if the Dems really want to fix the border fiasco that they SOLELY caused (and they don't), they just enforce existing law on the books, something Biden has been NOT enforcing, totally against his oath of office and also totally impeachable (from day 1). They need NO extra money for ANYTHING on that.

I forgot to mention. Thomas L. Friedman of the New York Times, is one of the pillars of the corrupt legacy media, and despite being Jewish, is very anti-Israel in a lot of his stances, also despite the fact that he views himself mistakenly, like so many of his ilk, as so intelligent and insightful, when in fact, he mirrors what the Bible says, in that in the end times, evil men will not only be deceiving others, but also themselves. Ditto, Paul Krugman, the so-called economist whose predictions about economics or politics are almost always wrong.

So, if all you keep reading or listening to are sources like that, you will still be in the dark.

The Wall Street Journal is representative of big business and predictably supports anything that brings in cheap labor. (They also hate tariffs.) Also, Thomas Friedman is very bright, but I disagree with him on almost everything.

From what I have read abut the immigration bill, it seems to me that Biden could do almost all of the good parts right now. Why 5,000? If it were kept below 1,000 it seems like the personnel and judicial system stresses wouldn't exist. And any passage that allows the President to suspend anything must be suspect.

About the Border Patrol's apparent support of the bill -- God bless 'em, but their interest has to do with their their own responsibilities and how the bill affects them in doing their job. My concern is about how the current lawless situation is affecting the country as a whole.

The immigration system is not broken! The current President of the United States has chosen to open the border, creating financial stress and helping to import crime, drugs, and poverty. All the money that is going to illegal immigrants when actual citizens are suffering is shameful.

I just heard Biden, trying to blame Trump for Republican unwillingness to buy into the proposed legislation, say that the problem at the border is all Trump's fault. That is laughable.

New Senate Anti-Murder Bill Caps Murders At 5,000 Per Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a landmark compromise between Democrats and Republicans, the Senate is set to vote on a new anti-murder bill that will limit the allowed murders to only 5,000 per day.

The bill will also send $60 billion to Ukraine, $15 billion to Israel, and another $100 billion to Iran.

"Democrats wanted more murder, and we wanted less. We feel this is a reasonable compromise," said Senator Mitch McConnell to reporters before staring blankly at the cameras for 10 minutes straight. "Every day once we hit 5,000 killings, that's it — no more killing! And we're gonna be strict about that."

"Just think of all the additional killings above 5,000 per day that will be prevented by this important legislation."

Some conservatives in Congress have challenged the language in the bill, suggesting that zero murders would be a preferable number. "I dunno, do we have to have murder at all?" said a confused Ted Cruz. "Like, murder is bad and stuff. Maybe zero would be a better number than 5,000." Cruz was quickly condemned by every journalist on the hit show Morning Joe as a shameful partisan.

At publishing time, senators had reassured their biggest pro-murder donors that the bill wouldn't solve anything.
