Welcome to the Richardson High School Message Forum.

The Message Forum is an ongoing dialogue among classmates. The goal is to encourage friendly interaction, including interaction among classmates who really didn't know each other. Experience on the site has revealed that certain topics tend to cause friction and hard feelings, especially politics and religion.

Although politics and religion are not completely off-limits, classmates are asked to be positive in their posts and not to be too repetitive or allow a dialog to degenerate into an argument.

Forums work when people participate - so don't be bashful! Click the "Post Response" button to add your entry to the forum.

Lady Lanajuju,

Yes, those grandmother days were great. I truly miss them. They really knew that they should stay in the kitchen where they belonged.

But the only time I went to Sandy Lake pool in Carrollton was the 1966 post-Abrams 9th grade graduating class event. Yes, the water was cold. But what was with all that algae on the pool walls? There's no excuse for that - that's what chlorine is for. I had a pool once (and only once) the only time I lived in Richardson in the 80's, but I'll never have another - we didn't use it much at all with little kids plus my Chinese wife couldn't swim. I can sure see having one in Texas though if you're going to use it.

Chief

Lowell,

What's your Tuttle genealogy line going back? You can email me at jrbedwell@comcast.net if you want to. And the winner of Houston-Texas hopefully will win the World Series. My team is the Rangers (like I said & like Jerry Jones, I guess I can't learn............).

I remember going to Sandy Lake.  When I was 6 I went to YMCA day camp in Carrollton and we went swimming at Sandy Lake.  I did not know how to swim but when we did the swim I thought I could show them . I could'nt so I took beginner swiming and learned.

Love Frank and Ernest. Favorite -- They are behind a lunch stand. The sign says, "Hot Dogs - $1.00. Hot Dogs with Chili - 50 cents"

Loved the hot babe guitarist. Never heard of her, but it looked like she was really playing. Is she well known?

I have posted this before. Heart performing at Kennedy Center Honors with Jones, Plant and Page in the balcony. It is interesting to watch the Zeppelin guys. Jones seems very serious. Page is smiling and enjoyng the music. Plant is serious and seems to be studying it. John Bonham's son is playing drums. Some very famous faces in the audience.

Heart's performance sounded excellent to me; right on the mark. The choir and ladies vocals were very nice too.

The original guys seemed pleased at the end; all smiles.

Very enjoyable!

Tommy,

COOL eclipse pics on the deck. Thanks for that.

All,

Here's an old Alaska co-worker's yard with 3 animals resting there a few weeks ago in Anchorage.

I've had friends say they've found a mouse in the house, but never have I heard anyone say, "I've found a moose in my yard.....or even three moose-'i' in my yard."

I saw a YouTube video of a lady's Alaskan backyard deck with railing, and as she was filming her three or four large cats lounging out on the railing on a sunny day, a beautiful, large bald eagle came down and sat on the railing too, next to one of the cats.  All the cats gazed at the eagle, as the eagle gazed at them, yet they all seemed just fine and dandy with the occurrence, and proceeded to enjoy the sunshine leisurely with each other.  It was quite a scene to witness!   I was thinking MY cats would have gotten a little freaked out, and would have slinked under the deck for cover.  They are SUCH wimps!

Thanks for the cool pic, Jimi Bob!

Lowell, Janalou, David, Wayne,

I love reading the stories about your families.

Lady Lanajuju,

Thanks. Yes, if you don't get out much (me), you'd still see a moose every 2 or 3 months. If you're a mailman there in Anchorage, undoubtedly you'd see them A LOT more often. That looked like a bigger mama on the left toward the rear and her 2 calves on the right. As you know, you want to give ANY cow with offspring A LOT of room.

Reading my Grandmother's memoires, she mentioned getting "vim, vigor and vitality" drink which I love if I can find the green can.  They changed slogan to 10, 2,and 4 (Dr Pepper). Green can and 2 ltr bottle is made with cane sugar instead of high fruitose corn syrup.

Wayne,

Can you still find the green cans?  First the wonderful little Dublin bottles went away, then the green cans -- our HEB told me that Dr. Pepper stopped making them.  I love the way the sugar version tastes like the Dr. Pepper I remember as a kid.
