Message Forum

Welcome to the Richardson High School Message Forum.

The Message Forum is an ongoing dialogue among classmates. The goal is to encourage friendly interaction, including interaction among classmates who really didn't know each other. Experience on the site has revealed that certain topics tend to cause friction and hard feelings, especially politics and religion.

Although politics and religion are not completely off-limits, classmates are asked to be positive in their posts and not to be too repetitive or allow a dialog to degenerate into an argument.

Forums work when people participate - so don't be bashful! Click the "Post Response" button to add your entry to the forum.

David:

As is frequently the case, I'm with Sandra.  Drop the screens.

Merrily, merrily and something about life being a dream, dude.

Love, Hollis

So judgmental!!

The river is nice to look at, but not so much at night or when you're stopped. And that glas of wine? We probably need less rather than more. After the evening's activities we want to kick back a bit. Last night we watched Monuments Men. Enjoyed it

Lowell,

As I understand it, DuckDuckGo doesn't reveal your search history, but I don't know about hiding your location. Might check it out tonight.

David,

We use Bit Defender.  It is an anti-virus and VPN.  Danny says it is inexpensive.

Jim Mulvihill and I saw Steve last night; and he is looking better and better!

Janalu, he does seem to be "chomping at the bit" to leave! We all three had great laughs

though, and we stayed awhile!

David,

Paris looks lovely.  I am jealous. Wish I was there.  Cathy Burrows Streetman's daughter lives in France.  I think in Paris.  I see her Facebook posts filled with photos of gardens, museums, shops, food and more all the time.  Her name is Spring.  Spring in Paris....

Jerry,

I am glad to hear that Steve is feeling better.  This is quite the miracle. I hope this trend continues for him and he can once again live alone, or at least post here and talk to us all.

Lowell,

De Santis' admission would be funny if it weren't so sad.  It took long enough. Sheesh.

I just watched the Ann-Margret scene again and the band is Dino, Desi & Billy.  Sons of Dean Martin and Desi Arnaz.

Back in the good ol' USA. Not too jet-lagged.

This is a nice article from today's Wall Street Journal.

David, I liked reading that story.   I am guessing most old folks would agree...

Back in Plano, eh?   How's your lawn...We are still trying to keep it watered and green down here...It seems a shame to let it go....they had to replace miles of underground water drainage and utility lines here in Champions and they re sodded a lot of yards by the roads...That new sod was watered every day for two weeks, as is required/reccommended...to let it go would break my nice lawn looking heart...

But, in reality, letting grass and weeds grow without water and without cutting all over suburban America would reduce the temperature quite a bit.   Just measure the temperature on the ground of your cut lawn and then go out in the field where the grass is long and measure the ground temperature...much lower in that uncut field.  Americans will never go for it though.

Sister-in-law did a nice job of maintaining the Cordell estate. Grass is OK except for Becky's Corner. Hate to see our water bill. Just took Becky for our one-mile evening walk. It's 104 but about 80% of our path is shaded at this time of day. Humidity is relatively low. I didn't really break a sweat.

Here are temps for Cloudcroft, NM (where I am not).

I visited Steve today and he is looking better.  He said he can't wait to go to Tupinamba for some good fellowship and food.

I also visited Steve on Thursday. He was alert and well-grounded, and he is, of course, anxious to go home.

You say Steve is well-grounded now so that's good. As you can imagine, too bad Steve wasn't grounded more when at RHS!!!!!!!!

The documentary about this farm is very good viewing.  We saw it last night.  Apricot Lane Farms.  The folks took a piece of land that was worn out, and depleted and turned it into a productive, harmonious with nature organic farm.  Amazing.  They save water too.
