Also upon further reflection, I'm thinking in my retirement I could volunteer to help dump the trash over that fence into Austin; I think I would really enjoy that. Good exercise too! And if I get more cancer, I could even assist with all the nuclear waste as well - after this last year with masks, etc., I just won't be wearing any haz-mat suit (or face masks) in that latter community effort - I won't have to!

Laura Ingraham was talking about Biden and how he laughed when asked if he still thought Putin was a killer as he had stated previously. So Laura pointed out how Slow Joe the Bumbler has acquired that ANNOYING and INAPPROPRIATE laugh from his deficient VP.

Much more importantly she said, Obama's trips abroad were apology tours. Biden's was a surrender tour this week. If this is the Tribulation, hopefully we'll be sitting on the sidelines when Israel is surrounded, and we aren't already annihilated!!

Isn't it (HORRIFICALLY) interesting to see all the levels of human society coalescing into 2 groups, their side and ours - kinda appropriate for a moment of such spiritual importance, if this is really it! Which side are you on?

Didn't someone mention the Royal Canadian Air Force Exercise Plan?

I was going through some boxes in my garage and found this copy from 1962.

Note that the men's version is 11 minutes and the women's is 12 minutes. I'm not sure if this suggests that 1) women are being abused by being required to spend 9% more time, or 2) women need more rest between exercises, or 3) women need extra time to complain to each other about the exercise plan.

If anyone wants a copy, I can scan it.

Maybe women have more stored up fat, therefore they must work off more calories.  Women have to have some fat on them to nourish babies-in-utero, or something like that.

What was that exercise place in Dallas, that may have been originally on Preston Road, that was 'all the craze' for a while?  Lots of Dallasites went there to workout, and it was also a place started by a military guy.

1962, huh?  That was the year of the Cuban missile crisis and the year we spent time with the lovely Mrs. Fagg!  It was a very good year!  (Except for the missile thing that poor Prez Kennedy had to gamble with......Fortunately ol' Kruschev was all bluster and a typical Soviet heel.  Remember when he threw his shoe at someone when he was frustrated with the conversation?)

In 1962 we didn't spend time trying to "reimagine" everything, did we?  We respected our parents and grandparents and 'towed the line,' saying "Yes, ma'am," and "Yes, sir," and also said the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as our prayers at bedtime....and the world a kinder, gentler place, it seemed..........

It wasn't all a dream, was it?

David -- fun to see the book:  when my dad lived in an apartment in Dallas from January to May of 1965, while the rest of the family stayed in Jackson until our house sold, he gained about 30 pounds. He was used to cooking for a family of six but was living alone and ate what he cooked.  We moved at the end of school, but he was still fat.

His response was to research exercize plans -- the Canadian Air Force one was considered the best at the time.  He started on it -- eventually he worked up through phases until he was spending an hour a day at it, including timed running around the neighborhood.  He got me doing it with him, as well as our dalmation.  He lost the weight and got into the best shape he'd been in since leaving the army.

I don't know if I mentioned our next door neighbor, the comptroller of Collins Radio.  He attached a fence to our backyard fence and Dad, on advice from a lawyer friend, made him put in his own corner posts so he couldn't claim part of our yard by adverse possession.  That made him hate Dad and our family.  He was a large man who carried a lot of his excess weight in his rear end.  In the fall of 1965, Dad started running around the neighborhood.  That was before the jogging craze.  Our neighbor started razzing us when we went running, along the lines of: "Hey Davidson, going out for the track team, ha, ha, ha?" 

At first we ignored him, then I started inviting him to join us.  When Dad and I talked about it, I said something about maybe we could help him melt some of the lard off his ass.  That led to our family nickname for him -- "Lardass."  My baby sister actually addressed him on at least one occasion as ''Mr. Lardass."

Dad kept running for the rest of his life.  He joined that Aerobics center on Preston Road in the 70s and worked out there for years.

Your story of the "Lardass" guy, reminds me of a story from a neighbor of ours, back in the 80s.  This neighbor was complaining one early Saturday morning, around 7:00 AM, when he had gotten up to feed his kids some cereal, while Mom was still in bed.  You know how it is on Saturday mornings when the little rug-rats get up to watch the Saturday morning cartoons, but Mom wants to have a little more time to snooze a bit.

Well, just as he was pouring the Raisin Bran into the bowls, the Korean guy who lived behind their house, started up his lawnmower, and began his trek around the backyard, making lots of unnecessary noise for the early hour.

Our irreverent neighbor began speaking 'ill' of the Korean man, saying, "That damn Korean making all of that noise at the crack of dawn!  What's wrong with that duefuss?"

So, a little while later, as our neighbor was sitting out on his patio with his coffee, flipping through his newspaper, he overheard his little 3+1/2-year-old boy shout, while swinging on the swingset, "Hey you Korean!  Don't mow your grass early in the morning!"  (Out of the mouths of babes, they say!)

My irreverent husband calls chunky girls, "Big Girls!"  So I guess your neighbor could have been called "a Big Boy!"   ( Aren't we ashamed of ourselves!   We'll have to say extra prayers of repentance!  We ugly Americans)

You mentioned "Big Boy"  Do you remember Kips Big Boy on Northwest Hwy and Hillcrest. They had a"Big Boy" holding up a hamburger. I took many dates there.

What do you expect when there are NO consequences anymore for ANY malfeasance from the left? I really thought Barr would make a difference as Attorney General, but as much as he sounded good and totally non-partisan, what was his net effect? John Durham report? Bet we never see ANYTHING from that so we'll just get more people like HilLIARy, Comey, Strzok, Page, McCabe, ad nauseum given as free a rein as the rest of the evil doers all over the world are being given by our clueless "leaders".

Remember that guy (now dead at a non-advanced age) who did a GREAT impersonation of Bush Jr., including extensive makeup to look like him? Once he performed in front of Bush & wife Laura. He said, "I'm gonna make all them evil-doers become evil-did-ers".

I also liked the Egyptian Lounge pizza!  Good place to sneak a kiss, in those special booths with swinging doors!

Dallas had the best restaurants.....and then along came Plano!  I swear Plano has a restaurant on every corner!

Yes, I remember George Bush Senior very well.  I liked him and Mrs. Bush a great deal, and especially enjoyed Mrs. Bush's humor.  She was so down-to-earth with her Midland TX humor, and was a great Mom to her kids!  She could have been called, "America's  Mrs. Mom!"  I thought her facial expression was so funny one morning as she was being intervued while sitting next to her dog, Millie.   She was talking along in her folksy, lighthearted way, when Millie began licking her rearend, so at once Mrs. Bush said to Millie, "Millie, Sweetheart!  You need to go to the bathroom for certain duties, rather than be here on the sofa!  Did you forget, Precious?"  The interviewer began giggling, and Mrs. Bush looked toward her with wide-open, smiling eyes and a smirk on her lips, being the rascal she was! 

I thought George Senior was a pretty good president, although he was a Moderate at times I wished he had been a little less so, but all in all, I liked and agreed with most of his decisions.

I'm a big fan of George HW Bush.  I'd recommend reading All the Best, George Bush:  My Life in Letters and other Writings.

If you are looking for a man who gave his life in public service, he is one.  I will grant you he was a moderate Conservative, but he found a way in each aspect of his life in public service to bring people together and implement pragmatic solutions.

My older daughter had the privilege to be a docent at the Bush library in College Station and it really helped her to understand the impact of one man on history.

But that doesn't excuse the Bushes for their NOT voting (probably none of them in either election) for Trump - that's putting pettiness (i.e., what Trump said about Jeb in the first election campaign) over the good of the country and worse maybe, blindness to that inner shortcoming! I never watched "The Apprentice" or whatever other shows Trump may have done so I have no idea about the appropriateness of the many times I heard that he said "You're fired", but he made bad choices, and he made a bunch of them, namely Rex Tillerson, Mad Dog Mattis, Jeff Sessions, keeping Comey on, maybe some of the Supreme Court picks? (with Republican choices, you just never really know what you're getting, as opposed to Dem High Court choices, especially the last decades), etc., but he sure hit a winner with Mike Pompeo. If Trump wins in 2024, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pompeo as VP - too bad he wouldn't be Secretary of State then. If Trump doesn't run, I would LOVE to see Pompeo as the Republican nominee. He graduated FIRST in his West Point graduating class with an engineering degree (Robert E Lee was #2 with ZERO (RARE!) demerits as was George McClellan - but which of those 2 field generals would you pick to lead your troops?), and that is VERY difficult to do these days, as we know, even with the scarcity of your fellow graduating cadets. Even Norman Schwarzkopf (reported IQ 168) finished 43rd out of 480 at West Point, according to Wikipedia!!!

Senator Ron Johnson on Hannity just said how his (I just caught the end of this so I don't know what he was talking about) investigation proved that Biden LIED when he said he didn't know anything about Hunter's business dealings. Plus all the recent (doubtless never seen or mentioned on the MIA media still obsessed with Trump) photos coming out showing Joe in photos with all of Hunter's money-donors (i.e., foreign influence-peddling buyers due to the Biden name) in Russia, Ukraine, China, etc.

No consequences anymore, even for impeachable offenses. Think about it. This is the first time in American history we have our national leaders (border catastrophe) completely causing a problem, lying & denying the problem exists, and then doing NOTHING about the problem they caused, OTHER than working overtime constantly, WITH THE COLLABORATING MEDIA, trying to cover up the fiasco, all the while all the BAD GUYS are getting MEGARICH with the rest of us paying for it with our tax dollars, which D.C. has WAY too much of!!

My conclusion: as Trump warned, we really don't have a country anymore, even if we do have another election. If we had a non-corrupt federal government, maybe we'd have a chance. But no, all this wokeness now reported in the military, plus the Marxist-ridden judiciary, legislatures, deep state bureaucracies including FBI, CIA, Justice, plus everywhere else in our society, it's really too late, I believe. COME, JESUS!!!

Dana Harvey was the comedian that had Hebert Walker Bush down to a t.  Senior Bush was an astute oilman who founded Sedco Drilling a mainly offshore drilling company.  George W was a terrible oilman who started Arbusto Energy.  The in crowd around Midland referred to it as R Busted Energy.  Another company that was failing merged with it called Spectrum7.  George remained the CEO because no bank wanted to turn down the V.P's son on an oil loan and it kept them afloat.  Harken Energy merged with Spectrum 7 giving Bush $600,000 in stock  and an $80,000 salary as a Director so they could have access to the V.P. I wonder where Hunter Biden figured out how to trade on a V.P. Dad?  Harken several months later saw their stock take a hit which reflected their foolishess..

To W's credit he did know baseball and had a lot of connections.  He sold his Harken stock for $850.000.00 before it took the hit and used it to get the majority control of the Texas Rangers.  He made a bundle in a few years on that deal. That  made investors decide he should run for Governor.  That  propelled him to the Whitehouse when you looked at the other pitiful Republican choices.

Classmate/quarterback Bruce Gadd used to run at the Cooper Center with some buds. One day a guy comes up and asks if he can run with them. It was Bush 43. It was during his Rangers era.They became friends. At some point he told the guys that he was thinking of running for governor. "Are you crazy?!," they asked. Why would you give up a baseball team to become governor?

The day after Linda Foster Gadd died, which was several months after 43 left the presidency, I went by Bruce's house to pay my respects. While I was there, 43 called to express his condolences. He expressly asked to talk with Bruce and Linda's two sons as well.

I just read that Biden is going to allow current illegals here in our country to AIRLIFT their relatives to the US, at taxpayer's expense!!  What is this man and the Democrat Party trying to accomplish?

Are they trying to permanently change our demographics so that the dastardly, evil white folks will be overpowered by people of other nations in rapid due course(?); these other nationalities who don't like it that we have developed a better country than their native countries.....

Why is Biden and why are the Dems SO INTENT on bringing the standard of our EARNED style of living, down to a lower standard, just so he, and they, can say, "We are citizens who care SO MUCH for the poor, and we've found a way to HELP THEM instantly improve their lives!".......No matter what this plan does to Americans citizens living here currently, who are trying to reestablish themselves after an awful pandemic crisis!  We have a plan for immigrants to come here legally, but evidently, Joe Biden and Democrats are throwing out our system, and are turning our country into a sanctuary country, even though many, many  American citizens don't want our country to be reduced to that, and certainly not IMMEDIATELY!

We know Biden is not telling the truth AT ALL, (We have him on tape lying about his son's involvement in Communist countries with 'earning' illgotten money for himself & extended family members)... and the President's ulterior motive is to keep conservatives/Republicans out of power forever.  He is NOT serving ONE HALF of our country's citizens, but rather is permanently damning them!  And he talked on and on at his inauguration of unity......what lies!   I think this is the beginning of the globalist plan to totally reconstruct our world to be a place where we are controlled by a panel of autocrats, possibly in Europe....and the United States is to become just another player in the new world order......with no more sovereignty, as we have known previously.

I've never seen such deceptiveness and meanspiritedness from an American president in my seventy years here in this wonderful country!   The audacity of this ailing, bumbling man!

I just finished a letter to Ted Cruz and hope to hear from him immediately.  I know he is not happy either, with this situation.
