Welcome to the Richardson High School Message Forum.

The Message Forum is an ongoing dialogue among classmates. The goal is to encourage friendly interaction, including interaction among classmates who really didn't know each other. Experience on the site has revealed that certain topics tend to cause friction and hard feelings, especially politics and religion.

Although politics and religion are not completely off-limits, classmates are asked to be positive in their posts and not to be too repetitive or allow a dialog to degenerate into an argument.

Forums work when people participate - so don't be bashful! Click the "Post Response" button to add your entry to the forum.

Janalu,

I keep seeing a commercial for the ACLU and they say a number of untruths or half truths.

One is they are against banning books inthe schools and librairies.  I doubt they would approve of books about how to be a pedifile and "Man/Boy" relationshipsa d other books dealing withbombing, hoe to kill a person.

2) States are trying to take away voting rights with out saying how.

3) Abortion rights.  Wit the origional RowvWade some of the justices rhey could not find a "Constutional" right and the decision would probable be overturned in the future yet the voted with the majority because they were in favor of abortion.

The media and Dems take 2 or 3 decisions they do not like and use the "Headline" to say the SCOTUS is bad and need to change the court.  They do not say how mny of the decisons they are either infavor of or indifferent of.  The media gives a "headline" without the umpteen pages explaining the decision. People buy into the media headlines to disapprove of the court.

Wayne,

I personally don't put much stock in what the ACLU says or does.  That organization at one time, had the goal of defending constitutional rights of people, and Alan Dershowitz was a member.  After a while, in the early 90s, I think, Dershowitz left the organization because he said he no longer believed in what they were doing, and he thought they veered severely from their original cause.  He says that today they are radical, so he stays far away from them.

As for what the mainstream media says, I believe almost zilch.

The abortion case that was decided in the early 70s was considered "bad law," by many, and even Ruth Bader Ginsburg agreed that is was not a sound decision, based on constitutional reasoning; that it should be corrrected.  Therefore, it has been sent to each state to make their own decisions of how to deal with it.

Remember when Pelosi and a panel of her favorite Congress members had that highly biased, fake investigation about the so-called insurrection, that later was confirmed to have been a riot?  There was a young lady that THAT panel brought forth, who told a bizarre tale she said she overheard, from a guy who was in a car with Trump and Secret Service agents.  It was stated that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of that car, (tried to commandeer the steering wheel) from his position in the back seat.   After that, supposedly Trump lunged for the driver's throat and shoulder.  Well, just yesterday, the Inspector General of the US released his findings of the investigation, after talking to as many Secret Service agents as he could place/identify on the scene that day.  It was determined that the young lady's story was completely bogus, a total lie, so CNN, who retold the story several times (usually reiterated by Jake Tapper) has been reprimanded to tell the truth to the citizens about the incident.  However, since so much time has passed, plenty of damage has been done and will remain a story retold, falsely, by numbers of folks, who enjoy slamming Trump.

That young lady, Ms. Cassidy Hutchinson, was coached and supported in a strange way, by Liz Cheney.  Ms. Cheney thought this woman was a fabulous speaker of shocking drama-induced titillation, who was a key component of that televised, farcical spectacle.

Janalu, the written press only corrects itself in tiny "articles" and the TV "press" seems rarely to correct itself. In this case, they are actually reporting what happened, i.e. that someone said that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel. I'm sure they see no need to correct the record since they didn't claim that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel -- only that someone testified to that "fact".

As far as I am concerned, what you reported should be news in and of itself. That is, it should be widely reported that the woman was wrong. If she reported what was told to her, they should track dwn the person who told her.

Likely, though, the whole thing was bogus from the start, and the left-stream media will say nothing.

"All's fair in love and Trump bashing."

David,

Yes, I knew that would happen, that the "startling story" would be swept under the rug, so that is why I wrote my post.

The biased media that so many listen to as absolute truth, has become, as Bill O'Reilly said just yesterday, totally corrupt and unreliable.  It was from O'Reilly's YouTube program that I got the report about what the IG reported, all these many days/years after the actual happening.  I find O'Reilly to be a reliable source for correct news, so I listen to him almost daily.  O'Reilly has wrestled with some personal problems, but he has corrected his foul-ups and has dedicated himself, at this point, to routing out the daily facts, with his current program.  He's got a new book coming out in September about  the truth of all of the US presidents, which is already predicted to be a best seller.  I'm hoping to get the book soon.  He tells that there are quite a few, rather shocking details revealed in the book, that few people have ever heard.  He says, that the two worst presidents we have ever had, have been James Buchanan and Joe Biden; the worst at hurting the United States in its well-being.  He stated that Buchanan could have done a number of actions to stop the path toward Civil War, and, well......you have witnessed all that Biden has done, in his ignorance, coupled with his dazed & confused mental capacity----that the Democrats KNEW ABOUT FROM DAY ONE OF HIS INAUGURATION, and even before that.

David Weir,

You have been in my prayers.

Hope all is well and that you are healing quickly!

Janalu,

Yes, I have Buchanan the 3rd worst behind Biden & Obama. He also was our only bachelor President so likely gay in my mind. Jimmy Carter, whom I stupidly voted for (only once in 1976) in my brainwashed political ignorance, I've rated 4th worst. I think O'Reilly has Buchanan the worst & Biden 2nd. I still think Obama deserves 2nd worst with the way he weaponized so many of the Executive Departments in their neoMarxist behavior to be illegally and unconstitutionally targeting conservatives & Republicans. And Obama is also a world-class liar and dissembler, like SO MANY Dems these days. Noteworthy was his statement that there was ZERO corruption in his administration - what a joke that was.

Even though I'm watching O'Reilly now too on that other network, I'm reminded of his FNC tenure when he was so full of himself then; his megalomania makes Trump look humble by comparison, and he's such an irritating interrupter, similar to other major ones (whom I still adore however) like Hannity, Laura Ingraham & Jesse Watters.

FNC showed clips of Kamala supporters at a rally. Not one of them could cite ONE accomplishment of hers nor offer up any of what Kamala's policy positions are. Truly ignorant people, every one of them, and many also seemingly very stupid. And while Donald has agreed to 3 debates, including one on FNC, Kamala has committed to only 1 on NBC. I think it will take only that one debate to show her as the also ignorant & stupid person that she obviously is. Finally, on Kamala's election website, there's NO mention of any of her radical Marxist totalitarian positions on issues.

Plus what a fool Liz Cheney has turned out to be. And she was part of the corruption in that ridiculous Congressional committee (along with fellow Republican idiot Adam Kinzinger) against Trump - that committee was suppressing info that exonerated Trump or showed positive info on the Orange Monster. Thank God that Kinzinger quit Congress and Liz Cheney, like Squad members Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush recently, was tossed out by voters.

Tomorrow is the 52nd anniversary of the death of a friend of mine from my Austin College days. He was from South Dallas and was born March 1950, so he was 22 when he died, a recent AC graduate who was preparing to enter UT-Austin grad school, with his whole life ahead of him. He went out drinking with my sophomore year roommate at AC, also 22 years old, and when he came home, this deceased friend routinely took his hay fever pill as per normal. Well, the negatively synergistic effect of the alcohol & the hay fever medicine took his life in his sleep. Very tragic. He was a very smart guy.

Thinking about him today reminded me of a (humorous to me) incident in the summer of 1970. David Mercer, this now deceased buddy, and I were all "temporary substitute letter carriers" for the Dallas post office that summer. We had a 3-day or weeklong series of training sessions before our work there commenced. So one morning on the way to the training, as per usual, Mercer & I partook of the illegal herb, which that day was unusually potent for those times. Mercer's eyes were VERY red as a result. He was sitting on the front row that morning, Visine-less, and the lecturer seemed to fixate on Mercer at one point and kept looking at him. You saw the immediate paranoia in David's face as he was made SO uncomfortable by the speaker's steady gaze. Anyway my other buddy and I, at the next break, had a great time talking and laughing about poor David's consternation created by those penetrating eyes of our instructor as he stared at Mercer!!!! YEE HAW!!!!

We spent a week visiting friends in Colorado. Got back on Tuesday. Good to be back home, but I could get used to Colorado summers. Don't think I could handle the winters, though.  I spent eleven years of cold winters in Philly. But at least Colorado winters have sun. And it's not too hot in the summers. But it is only 92 degrees in Plano at 6 PM today. I'm confused.

Janalu,

Speaking of Tulsi Gabbard, she was on Laura Ingraham tonight, and she said that when she was on that show the last time, when Tulsi had warned about how dangerous a Kamala administration would be, well, the very next day, Tulsi was put on the homeland terror watch list!?!?!?!?!?! This shows how totalitarian the extreme Marxist faction, which has now taken complete control of the Dem Party, really is!!!!!

Trump is in Montana tonight stumping for Republican nominee Tim Sheehy for the US Senator race there. The incumbent, Dem Jon Tester, definitely needs to go away, in my admittedly biased opinion. But I do think Sheehy should IMMEDIATELY change the spelling of his name to She-he; that will help draw Dem voters to vote for him!!! hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

The Commonwealth of Virginia just announced on the evening news, that 6,303 non-citizens have been removed from their voter rolls.

Who keeps saying that non-citizens can't possibly vote?

Quite a few of them HAVE VOTED, and have desire to continue, unless we check our rolls and remove them.

Virginia has found other errors as well as names of deceased, so they are continuing to clean up, as other states should do the same.

LET'S GET TO WORK OUT THERE, YA'LL!!!!!!   Our elections are very, very close these days.  Even small totals matter and can make an important difference in the end game.

Have you noticed that replacing weird as the favorite word from Democrat opperatives and pseudo-journalists is joy? Yes, Kamala and Tampon Tim are joyful warriors. I guess it is a take on Hubert Humphrey's moniker as the Happy Warrior.

So, I am watching the Olympics, and there is Kamala kammercial. Shortly afterward there are two commercials for the Olympics that emphasize the word joy. Coincidence???

In Austin there is a common saying amongst the locals, of: KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD

Austin's unusual conglomeration of musicians, artists, liberal-minded citizens, progressives, the Hispanic-flavor, college student casualness, homeless people too?.......etc., etc.   All of these features influence Austin's unique style.

Now, you can not only see people wearing KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD t-shirts, but you can also see..... KEEP J.D VANCE WEIRD t-shirts, on students passing by and in small shop windows.

I stand corrected on RFK,Jr. He is running as an independent.

Now here is a kicker. Former Dem Tulsi Gabbard has been placed on the Domestic Terrorist Watch list for denouncing the Democratic views she said in a recent interview. That's scary. Does the 1st Amendment ring a bell? She is shadowed everywhere she goes on airplanes. An agent is assigned to her on her flights. What a waste of taxpayers money. Go Find The Real Terrorists that you let in illegally.

Asheville has T-shirts that read " If you are too Weird for Asheville, you are just too Weird".

Ron,

That's funny!  Isn't Asheville pretty much a liberal hornet's nest?

Keep your posts coming!  They are nice to have on this forum as the current events are breaking with unbelievable stuff!

I heard Tulsi speaking last night.  What is being done to that nice lady is SO undemocratic and unjust!  She served in our military honorably for years, so to think that she needs to be watched and monitored as a threat is insane!!!!

On another note:

Guess ya'll have heard about the two astronauts stranded in space, possibly until February of next year.

This is why our mothers always cautioned us that we had better, "Take extra pairs of underwear!!"

Ron:

And in Brevard, they have loads of tshirts and magnets with "White Squirrels Matter", celebrating their colony of white squirrels.  At the time it sounded like a political statement, but kind of funny.

I guess that you don't always read my posts. I had written about Tulsi Gabbard's being assigned to the domestic terrorist watch list in my post 30572.

Janalu,

Portland had the same thing. "Keep Portland Weird" (they do a GREAT job on that). I heard they stole that saying from Austin. I like what I heard about Vancouver, Washington, the town I used to live in, right across the Columbia River from Portland, namely "Keep Vancouver Normal". Amen, sister.

I've known some squirrelly people, so they're not all in Florida.  They're not all white, either.  I've come across assorted colors, and varying levels of mischief.

I'm not much of an NBA fan, but I am enjoying the Olympics Gold Medal game between France and the USA. I am already starting to have Olympics Withdrawal Syndrome.

Brevard is a neat little town outside of Ashville - well, actually a drive from Ashville, but it's down the Blue Ridge highway, a beautiful drive.  Brevard's main industry appears to be tourists, but that's okay.  And they have a local population of white squirrels.
