Patti and I were friends for many years-since elementary school. We spent a lot of time together down through the years. We used to spend the night with each other all the time. I stayed mostly with her because her house was 'more fun' and my house was pretty strict. When we got to high school, we sort of went different directions but still remained close and did spend time together. We would do make-up on each other, talk about boys, and would spend time with her momma Faye. One of our favorite things to do would be to cook up macaroni and butter it and Faye would always get up with us and eat buttered macaroni with us. Crazy, I know. I still spend time with my second momma Faye and love her. Patti deveoped breast cancer before I did and went through a lot of surgery, chemo, etc to treat hers. She went several years before it returned and when it did, it did with a vengence. Patti was so brave to have battled what she did. She was a born again believer in Jesus Christ so I know I'll spend eternity with her in Heaven. Patti Cake-I'll see you someday and we can fix buttered macaroni again, do make up and talk about Jesus!!!! I've written this all in purple as we were a part of the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life and their color is purple. Love you Patti.

Patti and I were good friends. We spent many days together. I don't live too far from where she is buried so I go and talk to her and her daddy occassionally. Her mom goes to see her and her husband's grave all the time. Next Monday will be 3 years since she passed away and went to be with Jesus. She fought such an awesome fight with cancer and was such a brave soul!! I love you Patti. Hug your daddy and my mom and dad for me and tell them I love them!!!!
