On the many trips to Midland to visit my daughter I would stop and call Steve to meet for a meal at the Iron Skillet there at Carls Corner. I recall us sharing divorce stories and laughing at the outcome that seemed to be the same. Loved his calm nature and dry wit.
Vince and I had drafting/mechanical drawing together in 9th grade at RJHS. I can still remember his laugh when he and Adrian Simms would tease each other as they were neighbors. He was fun to be around. Always the optimist.
Henry had a tough life. He made the best of it. Always quick with his wit and could make you laugh. Gary McNeese, Henry Shedd and myself were pretty much inseparable in high school. After high school we all were in the service and kept in touch somehow. His sense of humor was infectious. A loyal and giving friend he was. RIP old buddy.

Happy Birthday!
I met Billy and Benny in the 7th grade at RJHS. Bill and I had a couple of classes through the years and even had PE together as I remember him evading balls being thrown at him during games of dodgeball. I reconnected with Bill right after being discharged from the service and visited him and his new bride when they lived in East Dallas and he had just started working for Nasher. Bill was always gracious and friendly to all and I never knew him to have a bad word with anyone. In recent times just a few years ago he told me of a ministry he was starting with mowing lawns for the elderly. Saddens me we lose people of such benevolence and integrity. What a guy.

Jerry was my lab partner in Mrs. Arwoods chemistry class in our junior year. We got in trouble several times for one stupid reason or another but the one incident that really got us in trouble was using the bunson burner to melt the glass stirring rods. Early glass blowing. Lost track of Jerry and when my childhood dentist retired, I decided to go to Jerry for my dental needs. He was my dentist for close to 30 years. Shy, unasumming, benevolent, caring would describe Jerry. Jerry would be the one to always tend to me personally for the duties usually performed by a dental tech. We would catch up about RHS stuff, his latest fishing trip and tell a few jokes. Good person, good father, good friend. Going to miss ya buddy.
Knew Chuck from Texas History in 7th grade at RJHS. Quiet guy, quick witted. Saw Chuck several times on his routes in Plano. Really nice guy.
I met Bruce in the 8th grade at Abrams. We were in Dewey Greens science class along with Greg Morse, Karen Byler, Russ Stovall ( I think) and Ken Gideon. Shirley Buice and some hood that kept kicking my chair were also there. After the 20th Reunion, Bruce, Sabra, Faye and Jim Mulvihill and myself were the last to leave from the brunch served at Studebakers. Think we were there for like 6 hours. Bruce told me later that he got in trouble with Tamara over the the time spent with us. He told me at the 30th that he was still in trouble with her. He will be missed.
