Darrell passed away August 4, 2021 at UT Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. He was born in Patuxent River, Maryland on May 25, 1951 to the late Darrell and Corinne Murray. Darrell lived in Patuxent River, Maryland where his father was attended the Naval Academy. He also lived in Warren, Minnesota; Richardson, Austin, Dallas, Mesquite and eventually settling in Hideaway, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Darrell is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine of Hideaway; Children James Murray, Crystal Murray of Hideaway, Mark Murray and wife, Valerie, of San Antonio; his only sibling, sister Dorothy Murray of Magnolia; Five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Douglas, Benjamin, Calvin, Jackson and Meredith; Great grandchild Brayden.

He worked for Imex Veterinary, Inc. in Longview, Texas. He was a valued employee and built many friendships with his coworkers. He was blessed to have had a big part of his life with the people at Imex.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lindale. He enjoyed yardwork, gardening, airplanes, military history, reading and being a gun enthusiast. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
