Joe Cornelius Mchaney  was born on December 31, 1951 and died on October 10, 2006 in Hawaii at age 54.

Marine Recon (NSA) to the end. Now Buried at the Punch Bowl.Joe died  of spinal cancer. He thought the back problems were a result of parachute jumps. He was my best friend. Wife was a Naval Intelligence Officer.

JOE C. McHANEY, 54, of Kane'ohe, died Oct. 10, 2006. Born in Quantico, Va. Retired U.S. Marine Corps major; worked at the Joint Intelligence Center, Pacific, as a collections manager and Magnetic Anomaly Signatures Intelligence liaison officer of Pacific Command. Survived by wife, Mary Kelly, U.S. Navy Commander. Service 2 p.m. today at St. Clement's Episcopal Church; interment to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Donations to the Hawaiian Humane Society or Fidos for Freedom. Arrangements by Mililani Downtown Mortuary.
