Gwen Elaine Dorris

February 28, 1951- August 14, 2024

Gwen Elaine Dorris, 73, of Plano, Texas passed away on August 14, 2024. She was born in Houston, Texas on February 28, 1951 to Jodie McGraw and George (Jack) Dorris. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rob Dorris. She is survived by her sisters Nancy Crow and Donna Stowell, 2 nephews, 1 niece, 1 great-nephew, and 2 great-nieces.

Gwen graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She worked in Communication and as a Middle School Teacher with the Dallas Independent School District. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Richardson.

Gwen will be greatly missed by everyone. Her celebration of life will be held at Bath Cemetery, 5105 Possum Walk Road, Huntsville, Texas on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 10:30am. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
