Message Forum

Welcome to the Richardson High School Message Forum.

The Message Forum is an ongoing dialogue among classmates. The goal is to encourage friendly interaction, including interaction among classmates who really didn't know each other. Experience on the site has revealed that certain topics tend to cause friction and hard feelings, especially politics and religion.

Although politics and religion are not completely off-limits, classmates are asked to be positive in their posts and not to be too repetitive or allow a dialog to degenerate into an argument.

Forums work when people participate - so don't be bashful! Click the "Post Response" button to add your entry to the forum.

Chief Stephen Toenails,

I started going through your Castillian list initially thinking it was an acronym - then I noticed there were few vowels at the start of each line - it's not easy getting old!

Now I'm going back to conspiring against blacks, Hispanics, Jews & other minorities - Tommy's never wrong, right? At any rate, if somebody from 1865 could see me now with my racism & White Supremacy, he/she/it/whatever wouldn't believe I'm NOT a Democrat! DUH!

Janalu Jeanes (Parchman)

David,

Do you remember a guy who entered Mr. Leewright's class about midterm, whose name was Bobby Keaner?

He had a distinctive voice.....I think he may have been a "mouth breather," possibly.   Bo Marstrand had a distinctive voice too.

Do you find that distinctive voices stick in your mind?

I heard Bobby Keaner's voice one time when I pulled into a fast food joint, to get a quick cup of coffee, and as soon as I heard that voice, I KNEW I had heard it before.  I spent several days trying to figure out where I had heard it, and FINALLY, I realized that it was Bobby Keaner's voice, so I drove back through that drive-up window to ask him if he had had a 5th grade teacher by the name of Mr. Leewright, and boy was he surprised to hear that question!  He told me. "Yes," and then we talked briefly about our connection.  It was a weird experience for both of us, but kinda funny too.....

When I told him my name, he said he remembered me, but I've wondered a bit if he really did.  He seemed much the same to me, as we talked.  He had been living in Dallas, after his family moved there following their brief time in Richardson.  He went to North Texas to college, and it was in Denton that I came across him.

Just a little bit of nostalgia, as I try to remember tidbits to talk about on this forum.....

Lady Lanajuju,

Concerning that bit about hearing voices in your last post? You really could start to begin to commence to maybe consider seeing somebody about that. Wait! I just remembered; we have a psychologist among our graduating class!! On second thought, never mind!!

Chief Stephen Toenails,

I live in Vancouver (with "v''s, not "ph"'s), WASHINGTON, NOT OREGON. By the way it's spelled OREGONE. And Washedupington. How about Californicatia (somebody already thought that one up? Maybe one of MY voices told me that............)?

Will you leave off the firewater FOR ONCE in your life!?!?!?!

Jim,

For that classmate you referred to I think he really got a Pilled Higher and Deeper degree from some 3rd rate school.

Wayne,

You were GREAT for a bit with that spel chekur!! You know, some absolute geniuses have been notoriously poor spellers - I was always great at spelling (I think it takes some kind of visual ability plus proactive memory attempts) - further proof of no genius on my part!!! I did know a guy with a genius IQ at Austin College - his father was a professor there - he also had a photographic memory - so that REALLY helps with spelling, as I understand. He was taking a full load at AC and also a full load at the local community college. No problema, senor.

PLUS this SMART guy at AC was so quiet & reserved, my impression of the guy was just what the Mensa member asked me that time. I was thinking this guy really didn't seem too bright!!! hahahaha!!! Then I got to know him a bit later - no, he was NO dummy at all!!

Also people must remember how introverted (AND REALLY SMART!!) David Mercer was. He made the same GRE score as Tommy, just the component scores were different; he told me that back in the day - how that surprised them that they got the exact same score. David & I roomed together in 4 different hovels in Austin in the 70's. His introversion made me look like Mr. Outgoing. Anyway I asked this one guy who also transferred to UT from AC later if he remembered David from AC. He responded, "Yeah, that guy was really stupid".

I did LOVE your "pilled" rather than "piled". In point of fact, that person was, highly likely in my mind, pilled high & deep when he got that piled high & deep training!!

Yes, Janalu, I remember Bobby Keaner. Had reddish hair. In the class photo below he is on the second row, between Tommy Thomas and Steve Alford. Was his voice a bit husky and nasal-y? There you are, on the back row between Virginia Hooter and Janet Hambright, but I bet you already knew that! It is interesting that, in that time of upward mobility, such a large percentage of this class were still with us at RHS graduation.

Wait a minute. I'm getting ousted from the other forum (don't know if it's even happened already - who cares really?) and the only thing I've posted there since April 13 was a hope for Tommy to turn to the Lord? That was also the last post I will ever create there, as I stated then. So I'm getting booted for what I'm posting on THIS forum? The cancel culture lives!

Sounds like all the reparations foolishness - punishment for guilt at another time and/or place for enemies represented falsely as enemies of today (part of the Marxist divide-and-conquer arrow in their quiver - it's really pretty simple if you know anything about history) - to me! But hey, they DO HAVE their agenda - I call it an evil juggernaut.

Jim

I am an enganeer and not and englsh teacher like my late wife.  At times I spell like I talk..  Plus that extra "L" means there was more of it even higher.

06/20/21 08:02 PM #21355

Jim Bedwell

Wayne,

Ah, see, there's the rub!!! I couldn't tell that your word was intentionally spelled that way or not!! If you used a spell checker, I would have laughed and not said anything about it.

Sorry to hear about your wife. That has to be tough obviously.

Now going through my 2nd AND LAST divorce ever, I did hear a funny joke last year though. Hopefully you CAN'T relate to this in your romantic history. Marriage can be like a deck of cards. You start with 2 hearts and a diamond, and you end up with a club and a spade.

Jim,

I read on the internet where the IRS denied tax exempt status to an organization that teaches about the Bible and the IRS said that since so many Republicans are Christian it is political. The IRS under Biden is doing the same thing it did under Obama.

Jim,

I have been very lucky and or chose wisely.  My first marriage lasted 10 years and we never had a serious argument.  My current marriage of 26 years has been without any real arguments.

I once told my scouts why I was not going on a compout with them and taking my wife out for dinner was a reward to her for putting up with me and my silliness for 10 years,  Now I am lucky she has put up with me for 26 years.

Steve Keene

Wayne,

How many scout suicides were caused by that?

Chief  Jumbo Bedpost.

Now you tell me.  I am glad I didn't show up in the wrong town to pick you up to move.

Have you noticed that Tommy's jokes really stink lately?  I have given him a new nickname:  The PunGent!

Steve,

In the picture I looked for Sue and Ron S but then remembered they are in the back row on the right..

I can't log on to Tommy's website after I received a message from him saying my email address had been removed from there (YEAH!) due to "bounceback received at this address" - appropriate from the Marxist echo chamber!!

So just as our Donald is being canceled currently in macrocosm, now I am in microcosm. At least Donald's exclusion matters!! hahahahahha!!!! I just hope I'm being paranoid about all of our being canceled by China and/or Russia in the future! Praying for paranoia - more Bizarro times!

Now I've got to decide if I want to re-register on there so I can read the stuff, right? That's my limited understanding of how this all works now, thanks to Wayne. I probably will but maybe not, probably not for a while. In any case, no problema, senores y senoras.

Nice pics, Steve. They could have used a caption, though. How about this:

A Babe and Five Geezers.

06/21/21 05:49 PM #21363

Bob Davidson

Was the email from Tommy's site I received, too, really about being removed in some sort of spite-spat with David?

06/21/21 06:14 PM #21364

Jim Bedwell

Bob D,

Yes, it is all true apparently. AS IF WE CARED!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!

Again in microcosm this act will have NO SIGNIFICANCE at all, just like Biden's presence at the recent confabs, had no significance, although actually he hurt us a lot there and we'll be seeing the consequences of that in the future unfortunately (just like Tommy's "sabbatical" will have resulted in nothing positive as we've already observed).

06/21/21 06:33 PM #21365

Wayne Gary

Bob,

Yes it is Tommy trying to get back on this site.

From Tommy to me : Now all I need to see is that Ron, Sue, and I have been reinstated, and then I won't kick Jim, Bob D., David, and you off the Punography Forum.

I will not make any comment on Tommy. I have been tought to act better.

06/21/21 06:46 PM #21366

Chief Jumbo Bedpost,

Tommy's humor really stinks lately.  I have nicknamed him the "PunGent!"

David C,

Au contraire, mon general!! I thought all 6 LOOKED GREAT. OK, all but maybe Chief Toenails with his always inebriated look. But I thought even Tommy looked great.

Terry Mitchell really looks her age though, don't you think? NOT!!! Whoa, Nelly!!!! People like that should be subjected to constantly being forced to listen to Brian Stelter a la Clockwork Orange - but only for a few hours - there is no cruel & unusual punishment in this country (yet) although Stelter would be borderline! And if you're reading this, Terry, I really couldn't care less that I was kicked off the annual staff (couldn't say that then) - I am curious as to the reasoning behind it. Surely not lots. I think the annual turned out fine though so maybe that was the kick in the rear the troops needed? I don't know. With 20-20 hindsight, I would have been ideal in working with all the detail in arranging the individual photos, but who knew? I didn't. I took a state of Texas test for an "accounting clerk 2" position in the 70's before I knew I should be in IT and I was 2nd in the state on that clerical speed & accuracy test and then 1st the second time I took it (out of thousands, I was told). Mercer told me he was LOUSY at clerical speed and accuracy, but I did witness his other brilliance on various occasions. Different strokes.................

06/21/21 06:53 PM #21368

Jim Bedwell

Chief Stephen Toenails,

Yes, before I was booted today, I actually had read that witty remark on the other forum. Glad I got up early!

As often that's very clever with you about the PunGent, but I know that you're just trying to hide all that firewater abuse; a lot of people have told me about that storage shed at your place that nobody's allowed access to..........

Jim B.

Have you been insulting Tommy on his own website?? No wonder he kicked you off.

You do know that you can be a bit rough, right?

Now, it is easy to figure out why Tommy would kick me off his site, even though I have neither posted on it nor even gone to the site in three years.
