About "wife-beater", are you not aware that Abrego Garcia's wife filed protection orders against him twice? On ABC, when Michael Strahan asked her if Abrego Garcia had assaulted her, she paused interminably before saying, "He is alive."

All the balderdash that "soon they'll be coming after you" is silly.

There are millions of examples of true miscarriages of justice. This only rates national coverage because it is a chance to harass Trump.

Also, if you don't want to post on this site, that is obviously your choice. But posting that Sandra's husband doesn't want her to post here rankles me, as does Jan's comment that the site "need(s) to let it implode on itself." Take issue with anyone if you'd like, but insulting the site on the site is like visiting someone's home and insulting the decor.

Can the DHS set up expedited court systems to have many asylum cases heard quickly, i.e., maybe two hundred per day, if it is assumed that most of these cases were falsely declared cases from the beginning?

Couldn't we have several courts with several judges hearing these cases that have been costily and harmfully pushed upon us by an administation that was operating in a punitive manner toward Republicans?

It is obvious that Democrats are purposely trying to keep these cases slowly rolling through the courts, just to be constantly a thorn in Trump's side, even though they know that their using the asylum excuse for all of the millions, was just a ruse to evade proper entry to our country.  There was no mass migration, there was rousing of the masses of the poor, to facilitate underhanded Democrat Party goals.

If you can't handle the comments stated here, then don't come here to read.   To state that you think this forum needs to disappear because of your particular mindset, is to express your anger foolishly, and when you express your anger here, then you put into writing your thoughts, even if you later wish you hadn't.

We, here, avoid forums we think are hostile to our beliefs, so as to not be bothered with irritation and personal insults of any of our classmates.

Is there anything "official" about this site, in the way of being representative of the RHS Class of 1969, or is this simply a site where you enjoy posting with your former classmates, where all of them are invited to join in, simply because of your congeniality and genuine interest in dialoging with them?

it has been said many times that your forum is "official," but I have never thought of it that way.

You love TT and TOS while TT has a great dislike of consertives, christians and the Bible.  He claims to never kick anyone off his site yet twice I was kicked off his site. He has said he bould kick anyone off the site for quoting the Bible because it supports Trump.  He would drop anyone that said anything positive about Trump,  He is Ron S and posts as a MAGA super Trump supporter. This site, like Tommy's have certain limits. And since I'm am talking about Tommy, you may or may not know that he banned me from his LIFE forever because of my political beliefs. NO uncertain terms, no way to ever be his friend again. His parting comments on email, " I hope you enjoy what few friends you have left". I asked if after Trump is out of office will your attitude change?  His final email was DON'T EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN!! Don't you just LOVE the party of JOY!!!!!!!! Sorry, I was not going to ever disclose that, but now I feel it is appropriate.

This was a life long friend. How would you feel? I fought for the reconciliation between David and Tommy for years being an outsider. NOW I know first hand what David had to deal with.

Happy (early) Easter!

We will attend services in the morning and host dinner for twelve. (No, not the apostles!)

I took the photo below last Easter. We picked up Steve Keene at his "facility" and took him to our church. We sat in the back to cause as little disruption as possible. That's him in the light blue shirt. My wife Martha is next to him. We asked the priest to take Holy Communion to Steve so Steve wouldn't have to traverse the sanctuary. That's the lay eucharistic minister on the left with the chalice and the priest walking back down the aisle toward the altar.

Steve was very religious, and I suspect that this was the last time he attended a church service during his life.

Rest in Peace, old friend. We miss you dearly.

No, SANDRA, your wrong.............I never suggested in any way, shape or form......that You or any other Liberal should NOT post here on this Forum - and you know it.  And where & why did you suggest I used the term "gaslighting"?  I have never used that term!  Seems sort of "typical" for many Democrats over the past 16 plus years though.....they "twist the words of Conservatives".  Even many Demcrats blame Conservatives for the exact SAME things they are saying or doing.

A reminder --

The term "gaslighting" is, I believe, derived from the movie Gaslight, with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. Boyer tells Bergman the same false statement repeatedly until she starts believing it. Ordinary lying is not gaslighting, although that doesn't justify lying. I think members of both major political parties are guilty of gaslighting.

One thing I have noticed --

When I read something from someone with whom I usually disagree, sometimes I find myself inferring an attitude. That is, I can "hear" the voice of the person I disagree with speaking in angry and harsh tones. It is almost as if I were bracing for a fight. Sometimes I am right, but often not. 

So, in addition to giving other posters the benefit of the doubt regarding their attitude, let's review our own posts to make sure they are reasoned and courteous.

Thanks, Janalu, but it wasn't any trouble. It made Martha and me feel good knowing that when we visited, it was a break in what had become a long series of boring days for Steve. He was living a very depressing existence.  I think we got more out of it than he did. because we felt like we were doing what friends do. And I'd like to think that Steve would have done the same for us. He was a good friend.

Sandra posted a link to an NBC News article about Abrego Garcia, which I read. It seemed to be factual, as far as it went. That is always an issue. An article can be factual, but leave out some facts.

The wife of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Salvadoran migrant whose wrongful deportation to El Salvador is at the center of a legal battle with the Trump administration, had a temporary order of protection against him in 2021 in which she cited being slapped, hit with an object, and being detained against her will, according to court documents obtained by ABC News.

In a lengthy statement within a petition for protection "from domestic violence," Jennifer Vasquez Sura mentioned an incident on May 4, 2021, in which she alleges that Abrego Garcia "punched and scratched her eye," causing her to bleed.

That same day, Vasquez Sura said that when she told Abrego Garcia that she needed to go to a store, he "got angry, started yelling again to the point that he ripped [her] shorts and shirt off."

"At this point I am afraid to be close to him," Vasquez Sura added. "I have multiple photos/videos of how [violent] he can be."

Vasquez Sura obtained a temporary protective order against Abrego Garcia in May of 2021, according to state court records in Maryland. The order required that Abrego Garcia have no contact with Vasquez Sura, and that he stay away from their shared residence, the records show.

But now the wife wants him back, and she didn't show up at the hearing. She seems to have "forgotten" what she swore in her complaint. 

It is common for a battered woman to allow the perp to come back into her life, often because she doesn't see an alternative. 

I repeat: Abrego Garcia is a wife beater.

All the other issues, not following the courts' orders, obsessing with being the center of attention, ordering and canceling tariffs, dissing those who dissent from his orders or directives, "twittering" or like about minor annoying reactions to his executive actions, causing a general uproar, being overbearing with his Cabinet, suggesting or slipping in derogatory comments out of a distorted imagination, not caring about those who are less fortunate, embracing other narcissist billioinaires who falsely ally with him...ad infinitum...

These are the issues anyone other than a Maga ite (and the membership is trimming) regard as less than leader qualities.

Your last sentence seems to imply that you have doubts about how your truthful post might be received.

A puzzling inference in your post, is your concept of exactly which people are the MAGA people.

Who do you define as 'the MAGA people?'

Are you inferring that all conservatives are MAGA people?

Why are you amazed that our president is going to the Pope's funeral?

You say you worry for his safety, yet we all know that no one is completely safe at any time, even with security guards at hand.  Presidents must be able to travel all over the world, no matter the danger that might be lurking, and they know of the dangers when they take the oath of office.

Thinking back, I remembered having a Hula Hoop.

Were any of you able to master the Hoop, keeping it spinning for more than a minute and a half?

Were any of you in a Hula Hoop challenge, maybe at a birthday party?

I could never manage to keep the hoop going for more than a minute, which was frustrating to me.  I tried to figure out how to be better at it, like some of my friends, but I didn't ever improve very much, no matter how many attempts I made.

I flunked Hula Hooping, doggone it.

I was better at roller skating though.

I don't know about you, but I am constantly annoyed by Trump's obnoxious personal behavior. There is nothing to be gained by insulting Biden and calling Fed Chairman Jerome Powell a loser. 

Like you, I don't know what it means to say someone is MAGA. If it means that someone would vote for Trump over any Democrat, count me in.

I will say this about Trump -- he is willing to put it all on the line for the USA. His approach to addressing the tariff issue certainly seems to be chaotic, but I think he is forcing action by other countries. Sure, he could have said, "Golly bum, we really wish you other countries would reconsider the high tariffs you charge us." Guaranteed -- nothing would happen.

Trump doesn't play patty cake. He forces the issue. He is willing to put his place in history on the line for what he believes is for the good of the country. He isn't looking at the current quarter. He is looking at the long term.

This country simply cannot maintain the current path.

I am hopeful that Trump's actions will prove successful and that in this country 1) inflation will be moderate, 2) unemployment will be low, and 3) the economy will grow at a sustainable rate.

I wonder if my Democrat friends are similarly hopeful, or if they would like to see Trump go down in flames, regardless of what happens to 1), 2) and 3).

Yes, David, Trump has a tendency to speak "off the cuff," without fully thinking through the effects his spoken words will have on the masses, many of whom are anxiously awaiting his flubs with glee.  I wish he would be less abrasive and callous at all times.  He needlessly gets himself into foolish situations.  He should have learned by now to be more controlled, but I think it is probably too late to see that wish come to fruition.

The man is currently in a rush to accomplish as much as he can in his first 18 mos., since he knows that past that time period of possibilities, his accomplishments will diminsh.  He also knows he will not face the problems of reelection challenges, so he is tempted to just go ahead and do what he wants, without pausing to think things through.

I hope he is thinking clearly when giving Iran these on-going discussion periods over the nuclear situation, because Iran is right on the cusp of achieving their sinister and horrid goal.  Time is a-wasting.........

I include Trump in my prayers, because I want him to be successful for the sake of our floundering country.

There is SO MUCH hope riding on this man, so we need to pray for him, asking that he receive the utmost guidance, in my opinion.

I hope Abrego-Garcia will be immediately brought back to American territory, possibly to Guantanamo, to have a judge or two listen to his pleas, and then I hope he will be promptly sent to some far-off country. I think he can SEND for his family to join him, if he chooses.

An Addendum:

I think Trump is pursuing the tariffs issue so fervently, because he envisions that our constant run-up of our national debt, is a HUGE problem that no other president tried to remedy.  Therefore, when the perverbial trade playing field is never leveled, the problem is NOT going to be fixed, which is a scenario that leads to our doom.  Trump is AT LEAST attempting to bring the debt down.  It's a start.........I think he should get a little more applause for his attempt, even though it causes some pain for the time being.
