Carol Sue Butterfield was born July 27, 1951 in Houston Texas.
Carol grew up and lived in the Dallas Fort Worth area. She spent her adult life serving the community by caring for and teaching special needs children as well as helping their families. She was a friend to many and always had a big smile and a kind word to all she meet. She had an adventuress spirit and always had a long list of things she wanted to see or do. Her family was her joy and seeing her children grow into fine adults, comforted her so much. She has two wonderful and joyful grandsons, that just light up her heart.
She fought a courageous battle with cancer and touched so many lives along the way. Her spirit and faith in the lord along with a positive attitude infected all that she came in contact with. I know that she thanks all the family, friends and medical staffs that assisted her on this journey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Frank Parton.
Survivors: Her loving husband of 36 years, Bruce T. Butterfield; son Niles Butterfield; daughter Medley Butterfield; grandsons Andrew and Wyatt Butterfield and her loving mother Chris Parton along with numerous other family members and friends.

I did want to post my comment around the death of Carol and how I put forth my most sincere condolenses for all those connected with her. We grew up down the alley from each other, in Northwood Hills, and every summer frequented her pool. She was a sweet woman and will be remembered, as such, by all who knew her.

I will always remember Carol's sweet personality. There are some people that no matter which crowd you tend to hang out with....she crossed borders and had a smile and kinness to share.
