I have many fond memories of Ken. I remember spring break our junior year. We met up at some outdoor carnival at the southeast corner of Beltline and Coit (by the Skaggs Albertson store). He had gotten a 1967 Blue GTO convertible and asked me to take a ride with him. I had a date with me and turned down his offer. He was just such a great and gracious gentleman.

Ken, you will be missed.

Your forever friend, Ron Knight

Hard to believe we've lost another classmate. Especially Ken Briegel.....who was in every sense a real gentleman.

I didn't know him real well at RHS....but we nevertheless were on a first name basis. We had some of the same friends.

But it seems like yesterday he came over at the Taco place (site of one of our mini-reunions) and visited with Ellen and I. He was so kind to her and welcomed her to the group.

We had quite a few laughs....and he was the same old Ken I always remembered.

It was a shock to lose such a gentleman and gentle.....man!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Diana....... and family~j

Dear Diana,

My name is Pam (Russell)Taylor. Ken sent me a message a couple of years ago to say that you 2 moved to Naperville many years ago. I believe he was being neighborly and reaching out to another Richardson High School classmate who has since moved to Naperville.

I only recently saw his RHS Memorium on these pages. I was so surprised and sad to hear of his passing, Diana. Even though this message is certainly delayed I just wanted you to know that my heart goes out to you.  We get so tied up in our own lives that we don’t realize it when another good person has passed on.

I am sending you my sincerest condolences and best wishes that you and yours are getting along well.

God Bless and Keep You.

Pam and John Taylor
