One of those nice guy athletes that did not look down on the rest of us without his physical talents.  Prayers for your family.

I will miss Bruce Bell and his sense of humor. (just a blast to be around). We ended up taking a summer school English class at El Centro together (just to get it done) and therefore would meet at Preston Forest sometimes to ride the bus together or, we would take turns driving.

He loved it when I took the top down on my 65' GTO. We had a lot of laughs together.

Bruce, you are in a better place now.....but will be missed a ton! Prayers for your family~j

Bruce and I meet in the 6th grade, at Greenwood Hills Elementary,  when he moved over from the east side of Richardson.  Our teacher asked me to show him around and help him in the adjustment.  We were best friends all thru high school.  Our dads coached the Optimist Colts together. Our parents, after high school,  lived next door to each in Canyon Creek for many years. We double dated to the Prom.  His dad let us use the Cadiliac, which was unbelieveable.  Bruce couldn't relax all night worrying about the car. Getting Bruce to get a date and spend some money was a miracle in itself.  Bruce played a trick on me . when we were young.  I told him I would given even one day.  The day of his wedding he remember that.  His dad said he hid his car 6 different times, afraid I would find it.  He even had relatives at different check points when they left the reception to cut me off so I couldn't follow him to his car.  I got even months later when he parked his car in front of his parents house.  Painted it up, filled the inside with newspapers, and a note "to not mind the frogs".  Bruce did not like frogs!  Tammy was not  happy with me.  Even when Bruce was at SMU it was impossible to get him to stop studying and got our and have a little fun. I went to see Bruce several months ago and we talked  about old times.  It was great to see him again.  Bruce you were a true friend and are missed dearly.  God Bless you and your family.

Bruce was one of the funniest and nicest guys I new in high school.  We would always cut up and goof around on the practice football field together.  He is truly missed.

I met Bruce in the 8th grade at Abrams.  We were in  Dewey Greens science class along with Greg Morse, Karen Byler, Russ Stovall ( I think) and Ken Gideon.  Shirley Buice and some hood that kept kicking my chair were also there. After the 20th Reunion, Bruce, Sabra, Faye and Jim Mulvihill and myself were the last to leave from the brunch served at Studebakers. Think we were there for like 6 hours. Bruce told me later that he got in trouble with Tamara over the the time spent with us. He told me at the 30th that he was still in trouble with her. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Bruce's death.  He was an all-around good guy and neighbor - he lived up the street from me on Waterview Circle.  I was always shy of him - and every other guy I knew - but he was nice to me.

I hope that his family sees all of these tributes. It must be comforting to realize the high esteem in which he was held and the regard felt by so many of his high school classmates.

Rest in peace, Bruce.
